How to build students English vocab using dictionary ~ Cikgu.Gon2

So u have some weak student in class, with a slight problem of lexicons. Here some tips to get them to be a little more dictionized:

1. Get them a pocket diary + a small notebook.

2. Tell them this is an assigment for a month, daily basis

3. Every night, before sleep (always b4 sleep) ask them to flip (always flip) the pages of the dictionary. They will then select and open a random page of the dict.

4. From that page, they will write down the first 5 words in the dictionary, and the last 5 words in the page. That includes t meaning

5. And they'll have to do this daily basis. Its up to u how many words but minimum is 6, max is 10. And they'll have to show it to u everyday.

6. After a month they'll have a collections of words from the dictionary.

7. After a month ask them any word from the notebook. the ration is they'll recall 5/10 the words u asked. It may be small, but we call it improvements.
